ABOUT US

The CSC Olanians started as an experimental blog almost three years ago from its original site "Civil Service", the unofficial blogsite of the Civil Service Commission. Seymour's site at multiply by Seymour Pajares and "The Cronicles of OLA", which was created by Atty. Helen Grace Ramos, followed. With the advancement in cyber technology, however, and to make the site more productive, we decided to re-design and re-develop the same to include CS Law, Rules and Jurisprudence, which could be of help to the viewers.

CSC is an independent Constitutional body insulated from the pressures of politics in the bureaucracy not only because it is a Collegial Commission whose judgment is arrived at only after a thorough deliberation by its members and Chairman, but primarily because the body consists of independent minded officials of unquestionable integrity, dedication and loyalty to government service, whose appointment is subject to confirmation by the Commission on Appointments.

By posting CSC Resolutions, Laws, Rules and jurisprudence on administrative matters, it is not our intention to pre-empt or influence the Collegial Commission in deciding a case pending before it, but to impart to the viewers recent jurisprudence, CS Rules and Law, to give stability to the rulings of the Commission and hopefully to help unclog the dockets of the Commission.

In featuring the activities of the Civil Service Commission's Office for Legal Affairs, its officials and personnel, it is not our intention to publicly promote or introduce OLA's officials and personnel, but to update other officials and employees in the government who were once part of the OLA Family, our second home. No amount of influence can dictate CSC officials, employees and the Collegial Commission in appreciating every case it handles.
